Why are we planning research about California teachers?

Since 1994, California teachers have been central participants in groundbreaking research to understand the relationship between lifestyle and disease. Over 130,000 teachers have participated in the California Teachers Study or CTS. CTS and Stanford University researchers are planning additional teachers' research that will follow a new group of teachers to better understand lifestyle factors and how they influence health. New research will also promote disease prevention.  Click here to read more about the collaborating research organizations.
